Stay Permit

A. Renewal of Visit Stay Permit (ITK)/Visit Visa

Required documents:

  1. Letter of Recommendation from Vice Rector (WR) I UAJY.
  2. Guarantor/Sponsor from Vice Rector (WR) I UAJY.  Sponsorship letter with Rp10,000 of duty Stamp.
  3. Photocopy of the Sponsor's ID card.
  4. Photocopy of Passport identity page.
  5. Photocopy of Visit Visa Stamp.
  6. Photocopy of the return ticket.
  7. Fill out the Perdim 23 form.
  8. One 3 x 4 color photo with red background.
  9. Original passport.
  10. Immigration fee of IDR 500,000.

Notes:

  • The extension of the Visit Stay Permit (ITK) is submitted at least 14 days before the ITK expires.
  • Visit Stay Permit cannot be converted into Limited Stay Permit (ITAS).

B. Transfer Status of Visit Stay Permit (ITK) to Limited Stay Permit (ITAS) & Multiple Re-Entry Permit (MERP)

Effective as of 1 March 2019, the transfer of ITK status to ITAS is no longer possible. Therefore, the campus will process Telex Visa (EVISA) for prospective new students.

C. Extension of Limited Stay Permit (ITAS) & Multiple Re-Entry Permit (MERP) Required Documents for Extention of ITAS and MERP:

  1. Letter of Recommendation from Vice Rector (WR) I UAJY.
  2. Sponsorship letter from Vice Rector (WR) I UAJY) with Rp10,000 stamp.
  3. Photocopy of the Sponsor's ID card.
  4. Photocopy of Passport identity page.
  5. Photocopy of ITAS stamp.
  6. Copy of old ITAS.
  7. Study Permit Letter from DIKTI.
  8. Latest Transcript of Grades in the form of List of Study Results or List of Academic Grades from faculties at UAJY.
  9. Completed Perdim form 24, 25, 27.
  10. One 3 x 4 color photo with red background.
  11. Valid Passport
  12. Immigration fee of IDR 4,500,000 (12 months) or IDR 1,600,000 (6 months).
  13. Copy of Certificate of Residence
  14. Print-out of Digital Student Identity Card (KTM).

Note:

  • ITAS extension applications must be submitted no earlier than 30 days before the ITAS validity period expires.
  • ITAS application includes MERP
  • ITAS extension applications are only available for a period of 12 months or 6 months. KAA does not process a 24-month extension.

D. Police Report

Required Documents for Police Report:

  1. Letter of Recommendation from Vice Rector (WR) I UAJY.
  2. Photocopy of Passport front identity page.
  3. Copy of ITAS stamp.
  4. Copy of valid ITAS.
  5. Copy of old STM.
  6. Copy of previous Study Permit from DIKTI.
  7. Two 3 x 4 color photos with red background.
  8. The STM application process is free of charge.

E. Exit Permit Only (EPO)

Exit Permit Only or EPO is a permit for foreigners to leave Indonesia without returning, EPO is issued to foreigners who are leaving back to their country and do not intend to return to Indonesia.

Students who have graduated are MANDATORY to complete the EPO process no later than one month after the graduation ceremony. Students whose passports are expiring are not required to process EPO because they can process the Passport Mutation instead. EPO is valid for 7 days. Foreigners who do not leave Indonesia after 7 days from the EPO stamp, will be subject to overstay fines.

Required Documents for EPO:

  1. Recommendation letter of Vice Rector (WR) I UAJY. The letter must be with IDR 10,000 duty-stamp.
  2. Copy of Guarantor's ID card.
  3. Copy of Passport identity page.
  4. Copy of ITAS stamp.
  5. Copy of a valid study permit
  6. Valid ITAS.
  7. Return ticket.
  8. Valid passport.
  9. Completed Perdim forms 25 & 27.
  10. Immigration fee of IDR 100,000

F. Overstay

Overstay is the number of days a foreigner stays in Indonesia beyond the valid permit period. Overstay is fined per day. The overstay fine is paid at the Immigration Office (when applying for an extension) or at the airport (when leaving Indonesia).

  1. Processing time: 1 hour.
  2. Cost: IDR 1,000,000 per day.

G. Residential Address Mutation

Address mutation is required for students who have a different address from the one stated in the ITAS. Address mutation is processed at the Yogyakarta Immigration Office and Disdukcapil (Department of Population and Civil Registration). 

Required Documents for Address Mutation

  1. Letter of Recommendation from Vice Rector (WR) I UAJY.
  2. Photocopy of Sponsor's ID card
  3. Copy of passport
  4. Copy of ITAS
  5. Domicile Letter
  6. Completed Perdim form 27.

H. Passport Mutations

Passport mutation is required for students who have a new passport and with a different passport number from the one stated in their ITAS. Passport mutation process is carried out at the Yogyakarta Immigration Office. 

Required Documents for Passport Mutation

  1. Letter of Recommendation from Vice Rector (WR) I UAJY with an IDR10,000 duty stamped.
  2. Photocopy of the Sponsor's ID card
  3. Copy of ITAS
  4. New Valid Passport
  5. Previous Passport
  6. Photocopy of New Passport
  7. Photocopy of Old Passport
  8. Completed Perdim form 27 (Fill in the Change Section C.10).
