A visa is an immigration permit for foreign students to enter the territory of the Republic of Indonesia. Visas for foreign students are categorized into 2 types, namely visit visas and limited stay visas. Currently, UAJY only facilitates limited stay visas (E-Visa). E-Visa is intended for new foreign students or returning foreign students who do not have ITAS.
Required Documents for E-Visa Application
- Letter of application and guarantee from Vice Rector (WR) I UAJY with an IDR 10,000 stamp duty.
- Scan of the passport cover
- Scan of the passport identity page
- Scan of the fee guarantee letter and bank statement with a balance of at least US$2,000.
- Scan of the Study Permit Letter
- Color photograph
- Scan of a medical examination letter from home country doctor in English or Indonesian.
- Scan of a statement of willingness to comply with all applicable health protocols in Indonesia, including quarantine rules. Format: download here.
- Online visa issuance fee of IDR 6,000,000 payable through Bank BNI, BRI or Mandiri teller.
E-Visa application procedures.
- Prospective students (student candidates) are declared accepted then must complete payment of tuition fees for new students.
- The student candidates submit the required documents through email (kaa.pelaporan@uajy.ac.id) and informs the planned date of arrival to Indonesia.
- The campus VITAS operator will upload the system 60 days before arrival or at the latest 30 days before arrival.
- The student candidates make payments to Bank BNI using the billing code from the system.
- The campus VITAS operator sends the VITAS documents to the student candidates through email.
- The student candidates must report their arrival to the campus no later than 1 week after arrival.
- The student candidates will receive E-ITAS after reporting to the KAA Licensing Staff on campus.
